How can we use this site?

CrowdVine says that "The most popular blog posts for conferences seem to be discussion on the conference as a whole, thoughts on a specific session, making plans for meetups, or asking questions of other attendees." but I wonder how else we can use this system.

One question that comes to mind is what people hope to get out of attending. Is it getting feedback on your own work, hearing papers, meeting people, or general stimulation?


I think a big part of CrowdVine is learning about who will attend, and reaching out to them before you get there. I got a lot out of it for the last thing I attended which used this.

I'm guessing we will find uses for it before, during and after the conference!
